Global Procurement Strategy
Beck Prosper Ltd sources material from the global market place. We have identified suitable suppliers worldwide for specific product ranges at lowest cost without compromise to established quality parameters. All material is sourced and released to governing international standards, predominantly ASTM and ASME.
Our ISO accreditation by Lloyds is something that we take seriously. Quality of our product and its integrity is paramount. After 40 years of trading we are rightly proud of our reputation within the industry.
A major factor is the decreasing availability of raw material from European steel mills, particularly in certain grades and diameters of carbon and alloy steels; this trend is set to continue. The advent and increased use of the Internet has further rationalised the global supply chain.
Whilst we do source some of our materials from China and the Far East this material is extensively tested in our own facility near Shanghai, to ensure full compliance with the relevant standards. The Technical team in China is headed by our French Metallurgist, reporting to our UK based Technical Manager and staffed by Beck Prosper UK trained inspectors, we work closely with our suppliers and are allowed full access to plant to perform patrolling inspection at all points of manufacture. We insist on full traceability to cast on all petrochemical grade fasteners and insist on copies of Mill certification for these grades. We always deal direct with the source and do not use Agents or intermediaries as this undermines our control.
Beck Prosper are not able to source solely from European suppliers and therefore cannot be limited to supply sources.
